Hovers seamlessly integrates with Shopify, allowing you to publish optimized blog articles directly to your Shopify store's blog. This integration enables you to create and manage content for your Shopify blog without leaving the Hovers platform.

Setting Up the Shopify Integration
Prerequisites
Before connecting Hovers to Shopify, ensure you have:
- A Shopify store with admin access
- A Shopify Admin API access token with blog read and write permissions
- A Hovers account with integration permissions
- At least one blog created in your Shopify store
Creating a Shopify Admin API Access Token
To connect Hovers to Shopify, you'll need to create an Admin API access token:
- Log in to your Shopify Admin: Go to your Shopify admin panel
- Navigate to Apps: Click on "Apps" in the left sidebar
- Go to App and sales channel settings: Click "App and sales channel settings"
- Develop apps: Click "Develop apps" (or "Develop apps for your store")

- Install the app: Click "Install app" to generate the access token
- Copy the Admin API access token: The token will start with
shpat_- save this securely
Important: Store your access token securely. You'll need it to connect Hovers to Shopify.
Connection Steps
- Navigate to the "Integrations" section in your Hovers dashboard
- Select "Shopify" from the available integrations
- Click "Connect Shopify"
- Enter your Shopify store details:
- Store Name: Enter your store name (e.g., if your store URL is
my-store.myshopify.com, entermy-store) - Access Token: Paste your Shopify Admin API access token (starts with
shpat_)
- Store Name: Enter your store name (e.g., if your store URL is
- Click "Connect" to establish the connection
- Once connected, Hovers will verify the connection and fetch your available blogs
Using the Shopify Integration
Publishing to Shopify
To publish content from Hovers to Shopify:
- Create or edit content in Hovers
- Click the "Publish" button on your article
- Select "Shopify" as the destination platform
- Choose a blog: Select which Shopify blog you want to publish to
- Review settings:
- Article title
- Featured image (if available)
- Tags (automatically generated from your keywords)
- Author name
- Click "Publish to Shopify"
Your article will be published to the selected Shopify blog and will be immediately available on your store.
Blog Selection
When publishing to Shopify, you can choose from all blogs available in your connected store:
- Default Blog: Your store's main blog (usually named "News" or "Blog")
- Custom Blogs: Any additional blogs you've created in Shopify
- Blog Information: Each blog shows its handle and title for easy identification
Content Features
The Shopify integration supports the following content features:
- Full Article Content: Complete article text with HTML formatting
- Featured Images: Automatically include featured images in blog posts
- Tags: Keywords and tags are automatically converted to Shopify blog tags

Updating Existing Articles
If you've previously published an article to Shopify:
- Edit the article in Hovers
- Click "Publish" again
- Select "Shopify" as the destination
- Hovers will automatically detect the existing article and update it instead of creating a new one

- Select Target Blog: Choose which blog to publish to for each article
